Congratulations Pam McClung

I want to congratulate Pam McClung on winning the Adobe $2100 software give-away for the first half of 2010. She was very excited and surprised to win. I would like to thank all of you who came to the meeting and a special thank you to Chris Shrier of Madison and Fifth for hosting the event and providing yummy food from Spinelli's Deli.

We will have one more $2100 software give-away toward the end of the year. We have not decided what we are going to get entered to win, but we will have it planned out before the next meeting.

Presentation Night RSVP Reminder

I wanted to remind everyone to RSVP for the presentation night that is happening next Tuesday, March 30th. We have received word from Adobe that they are going to start migrating the User groups sites to a new system starting this Saturday, and they are suggesting anything added to the current site be done by Friday, March 26, as data entered after that may not get included in the migration. So you might want to RSVP soon to ensure your entry in our contest, (see below). Your username must be on the RSVP list to be included in the contest.

SPECIAL NOTE: Every 6 months, Columbus Digital is able to raffle off a coupon for up to $2100 worth of software at the Adobe store. We will be having our first give-away of 2010 at our June meeting.

For the next 4 meetings, you can be entered in the drawing to win the software giveaway. All you have to do to be entered is RSVP to the monthly meetings. You have a maximum of 4 opportunities to enter, March's, April's, May's and June's meetings. It does not matter what your RSVP option you select, (Yes, Maybe, No). You just have to RSVP to be entered. The RSVP section is almost to the bottom of the page, just above the Post a Comment section.

On Tuesday, April 20th, Kevin Hoyt, an Adobe Platform Evangelist, will be our guest speaker on a special presentation night. He is going to go over some of the great new features of Flash Builder 4 and the Flex 4 SDK. I have seen Kevin present before and he is very passionate about Flex and is a great presenter.

We have a dozen Flash Builder t-shirts to give away as well as a copy of Flash Builder 4 Professional to raffle off. This is in addition to our regular software raffles. So this is an extra chance for you to win some cool, free software.
