We are extending the deadline for the logo and graphic contest until March 29th! We have had a few submissions that look great but, just this week, more people expressed an interest in submitting. Please send me your files as an attachment to an email. I look forward to having a difficult decision in choosing the winners. Don't forget, the prize for each is a FREE Adobe training session at Howard Community College's Business Training Center!
Good luck and happy designing!

Those of you that have attended the first meetings may have heard that we need a new logo for our user group. Really, we do. I intentionally made the "temporary" logo ugly as sin to inspire the designers in our group to create something better. I also left the redesign of the default header graphic for our site for you guys.
So here is the challenge... submit your logo and header graphic designs by March 19th to be in the running to win a free Adobe training session thanks to the nice folks at Howard Community College's Business Training Center. The winner and runners-up will be announced at our March meeting on the last Wednesday of the month, March 31st. Anyone who submits their designs before this month's meeting on February 24th will have their work presented at the meeting.
The logo submissions need to be square, ultimately sized to 100 x 100 pixels. The site's header graphic submissions need to be 920 x 190 pixels. See some of the other groups' sites for inspiration and ideas.
Please dig deep for some meaning and not just a pretty design. Your concepts should reflect the Baltimore-Washington (aka "Central Maryland") region. They should also indicate the focus of our group's mission to share tips, techniques, and best practices for Adobe software with both seasoned and aspiring design professionals while building a community that connects and supports its members.
We have only one submission so far, but I am looking forward to seeing MANY more (especially from my design students - you know who you are)! Good luck!
Cheers,
Christine
