This is a great primer on color accuracy. For those that design for the screen, it’s still satisfying to know that you’ve got accurate color, even if your audience doesn’t.

If you attended last months meeting you already heard the announcement that I have stepped down as the HRAUG Manager. As most of you know I have been promoted to Account/Project Manager here at Lectronimo Studio and I'm doing a lot more spreadsheets, planning, phone calls, and emailing than using the Adobe Products. In fact I think I opened Illustrator once last month, realized I didn't remember how to use it and went and found Krystal to help me.

Your new HRAUG Manager is Paul Costen paul@hraug.org and our Co-Manager is still Frank Cooney frank@hraug.org. Paul has been working with Lectronimo Studio since November and has proved himself as being in the know on what's new in design software. Paul strong points are After Effects, 3D modeling, and Web coding/CSS. Don't let him kid you though he also knows his way around Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Flash, Premire, Final Cut Studio, and even a bit of Actionscript. Frank on the other hand has a background in software design and programing so his talents lie in Flex, Air, FrameMaker, and Acrobat.

One of the most important things a creative person can do is network with other creatives to stay on top of design trends, technology, and hear about what others are doing. I struggled with deciding to give up the group because I don't want to see it fade away. Paul is not only very creative and funny, he is also pretty organized so I'm confident that he'll be a great Manager and keep the group active.

I wish you all the best and I hope each of you continues following the group. Paul has lined up some great topics for this year so keep checking the site to see what's next.
