Great seeing everyone again!  Thanks for coming to those who made it!  And a special thank you to Jacob Surber for joining us from California to present!

Congratulations to our software raffle winners Joe and Jeff.  Joe took home a copy of Flex Builder 3 and Jeff received a copy of Adobe Captivate.

For those of you that missed the meeting, here are a few things that we covered in addition to the MAX 2009 presentation:

    • The December meeting will be on the 17th since turnout would probably be a little low on the 24th... :)  I'm leaving it to the group to decide if we do our usual meeting with a presentation at ePrize or since it is the holidays maybe we go offsite and do something a little more social.  We will be giving away another Adobe software package to some lucky winner!
    • I'm trying to put together a plan for the next few months so if you have any topic suggestions or would like to present please let me know.  I would like to have meetings/topics scheduled a few months in advance and put them on the groups event calendar.
    • Software raffles are going to be changing a little next year.  Now in order to be eligible for the raffle you will need to collect points.  Collecting four points earns you an entry into the raffle drawing for that half of the year.

Here's how you can earn points:
1 point for attending a meeting
1 point for doing a book review (see next point)
4 points for doing a meeting presentation
    • I'm working with Friends of Ed publishing to setup a library for our group.  They have offered to provide us with books and simply ask us to write a review on a Blog or Amazon.com in return.  Once they verify the review, they will send another book.  Reading/reviewing a book with the group will earn you an extra point into our bi-annual Adobe software raffle.  There are a few other publishers that have the same sort of group benefit that I am looking into so hang on for more details...

Recently I have been looking at Google Analytics and how track events with Flex and Flash.  I stumbled upon a nice article explaining a recently released framework for GA Tracking.  Check it out:
