February DAUG meet was a great success!2

The Durban Adobe User Group for February was a total success with about 26 attendees who have all been placed in the raffle for the R30000 Adobe software. Attend the next meeting to be added to the raffle, and we'll pick a winner in June. I'm sure I speak for everyone by saying it was superb to meet everybody.

Many thanks to Julian Stanley for his eye-opening talk on Flash Catalyst and for taking the time to prepare the demo, this looks like software package which many of us will want to include in their workflows. Super fast concepts to prototypes are now possible with rich internet application functionality in a fraction of the time.

Also thanks as always to Keyline for the venue, and Les Abercrombie for keeping things running smoothly!

I hope to see you all again at the next meet, provisionally scheduled for the 1st April (TBC) - I'll announce the firm date shortly.

December Adobe Software Raffle Winner!

A huge congratulations to Christopher Mandlbaur who was the Winner of the December DAUG Adobe software raffle!

Christopher wisely chose the Adobe CS4 Master Suite as his prize (worth around R30,000)

An amazing prize, and I think you'll agree well worth attending a fun and inspiring evening for!

Come along to the next meeting on February 4th 2010 to be placed in the next draw - we'll be giving away more software in time for July to one of the lucky attendees.

Hi all, I'd love to hear from any Flex AS3 RIA gurus in Africa who may be interested in a training assignment.

Amongst others, you must be able to train:
- Flex Components
- Data Binding
- XML
- Data Models, Data Providers
- Remote Procedure Calls
- Loading sub-applications
- ActionScript 3 Design Patterns
- Flash Media Server is a bonus
