About this Group - North America

Byte the Muse is a User Group originally created to discuss how to take brush and chisel art and send it to print or the web using all that computers have to offer us. We discuss both web and print design. The group was started by a bunch of tech hungry old world artists eager to get on the web in a good way. All are welcome, no brushes or chisels required.

Topics:

  • Photoshop
  • Dreamweaver
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Flash buttons and banner ads
  • CSS
  • PHP
  • Some open source database and blog software reference for use.
  • Open source gallery software

Chris Cart is the Byte Leader, in name at least. He has been working with the web for 12 years and print much longer. He passes on what he knows and learns. But he is more than happy to sit back and listen to those with more knowledge. Learning is everything. That is what this user group is all about.

Please join us. Meetings are the 4th Tuesday of the month…6:00 to 7:30. The meetings are at the Capitol Area Technical Center, 7 Pierce Dr, Augusta, ME - (207) 626-2475 (If you know Augusta it is right next to the new Cony High School.)
