DFUG is the official Danish Adobe User Group, mainly focused around Adobes Rich Internet technologies.

The Name
The name origins from the UG’s early days when Flash was the #1 multimedia platform, thus the main interest of the members of the group (Danish Flash User Group).  As time has passed and the RIA scene has gained momentum, DFUG has evolved as well and now covers the whole Adobe RIA portfolio; Technologies like Flex, Flash, AIR, Flash Player, Thermo and all the creative programs backing up the RIA production pipeline today.

What D.F.U.G
DFUG is an open community for everyone with interest in Adobes Rich Internet Technologies, or Adobe Technologies in general, whether it is as a professional or just as a hobby. DFUG’s cornerstone is to provide the environment for a social network and an IRL forum where like-minded can share experience, be inspired and expand their network.
DFUG is in no sense an elite community only providing space for advanced users; DFUG is for everyone! We belief that everyone can contribute in their own way, and our goal is to have an environment where everyone feels good and welcome.

What do we do
DFUG’s main activity is the monthly meetings held in collaboration with the members of the group. We like that the members are tightly coupled in the process of adding content and theme to the meetings. –a lot of members have great takes on subjects and like sharing their experience and knowledge with the rest of the group. It is by no means a must, to present at our meeting, but it is of cause great when members want to contribute to the community.

The themes and focus of the meetings varies a lot; it can be subjects derived from small hobby projects to large scale enterprise projects. So far we have had as different themes at our meetings as:” journalism and the way we tell the story online” to “Design Patterns with ActionScript” over “3D in Flash” and many, many more.
Summed up, we try to be differentiated and try to add focus to the RIA term from as many sides as possible.
Besides from our monthly meetings we have great a partnership and collaboration with FlashForum.dk (The largest Danish online community for Adobe Rich Internet Technologies) in regard to arranging larger events, tutorials etc. Keep an eye on the event calendar and FlashForum.dk for news.
