The ACT Adobe Products User Group was formed to assist Adobe product users across the enterprise suite of products. This includes Acrobat (not the reader), LiveCycle, ColdFusion, Flex, Flash and AIR. The user group is run by a group of industry professionals who do so on a volunteer basis. Meetings will be held monthly and events will be held quarterly.

On occassion we may run larger User Group meetings with a specific focus, and invite end users to present case studies, success stories and information sessions.

The events will be run by the User Group Manager and will be at a premier venue and catered for. Invites will be issued well in advance and notification will be posted on this blog.

The user group meetings will feature at each meeting a presentation by an industry professional on a wide variety of subject matters, not limited to Adobe products. This would include Web 2.0, Knowledge Management, Social Networking and Information Architecture. Other subjects may be covered as they arise. Some presentations may include a unit from a training course such as Flex/AIR.

All are welcome to attend any meeting, it should be noted that Adobe desktop products will not be specifically covered. However, there may be another attendee present who may be able to assist and from time to time desktop products will feature in Adobe Roadshows or Camps.

Adobe do screen User Group Managers and have to approve a group being formed, they provide a large software prize which is raffled once every six months, and provide schwagg throughout the year.  Adobe sponsor the User Group by providing up to $250 for catering at each meeting.

Meeting subjects, agendas and guest presenters are decided by the User Group Managers in advance, there is no input by Adobe except in the event of a major Product release, Adobe then provide special schwagg and usually a Community Expert as a presenter.
