Luiz Majano would like to share a discount code with all ColdFusion user groups for his new book: The Definitive Guide to the Coldbox Platform.

The code is 58M36URE an they can purchase it here: https://www.createspace.com/3411525

The code is for 15% discount on the book for user groups. The cool thing is that the book is more about building sustainable ColdFusion applications.

Going to Adobe MAX in Los Angeles? It's now just a few weeks away (Oct 4-7). If you haven't registered yet, please use this user group mgr URL to register -- https://max.adobe.com/register/attendees/new?f=TROY&l=PULLIS

There are a few other ways to attend and save money, check these out to see if any will help your particular situation.

Exhibit-Only Pass – If you are primarily interested in the Unconferences this is a really good option. $200 gets you three-day access to the MAX Exhibit Hall (home of the Community lounge, all Unconferences, vendor booths, and BoFs), as well as entry to the keynotes and the Sponsors Welcome Reception on Monday evening.

One Day Pass – If you can’t be onsite the whole show but want to attend all the MAX activities for one full day (this includes all keynotes, sessions, meals, and parties happening that day), this is a good option. The standard price for a one-day pass is $595 but if you use this discount code: DAY941 you save $100.

There’s also the special student rate announced last week ($199 for a MAX pass if you have a valid student ID and use promo code STU691

Finally, if you have not yet booked your flight there are MAX discounts on three airlines:

    American Airlines: 5% off
American Airlines is offering a 5% discount (additional discounts may apply depending on flights selected). The discount is valid on travel dates of October 2 - 11, 2009, and is applicable flying into Los Angeles (LAX), Burbank (BUR), Ontario (ONT) and Orange County (SNA) airports. Reservations may be completed via http://www.aa.com or by calling 800-433-1790 (a $20 ticketing fee applies when booking via phone). Travelers must use promotional code 31H9AL. Some restrictions may apply.

    JetBlue: 5% off
JetBlue is offering a 5% discount. The discount is valid on travel dates of October 2 - 11, 2009, and is applicable flying into Los Angeles (LAX) and Burbank (BUR) airports. Reservations may only be completed via http://www.jetblue.com/promo. Travelers must use promotional code ADOBEMAX. Some restrictions may apply.

    Lufthansa: 10% off
For attendees travelling on Lufthansa services to Adobe MAX, discounts of up to 10% off standard airfares in Business and Economy Class have been negotiated. Participants can choose to fly to Los Angeles any time between September 18 and October 18, 2009. For Miles and More or Star Alliance card holders, full mileage can be accrued. To make your reservation, please click on http://www.lufthansa.com/meetingsandevents_en and enter the access code DEJIQ which will take you into a MAX-only online booking platform. Please note that you may have to enable pop-ups on this site.
