Alright alright.... So, the group is growing... Great!

There is much more interest from members to make it to the meetings... Sweet times!

Now, as an open question to all members: 

What would YOU like to see this group do, and what would you like to take from it?

I've always seen it as a great place for members to learn from, and teach eachother... Plus, with the media gallery, an awesome place to showcase your work (be it a masterpiece or just a sketch).

Who knows, it could also become a great international network to find work and cool events in other countries.

So please try to post your comments on this thread... I would like to be able to make this a fulfilling experience for all of our members. The more everyone contributes, the more potential there is for everyone to benefit.

<p>I'm sort of here as a means of kicking my own ass back into productivity. I`m also going to be starting my own thread on conceptart.org as well (for those of you who aren`t familiar with it, it`s an illustrators support forum, check it out!), but I think connecting with the local community and interacting with people in the real world regarding art is important too. I`m sort of hoping this will be a place where we`ll swap tips and tricks, and do little software demos at the meetings.</p> <p>I`ll for sure be bringing my laptop and tablet to the next meeting then. I`d like to see Illustrator in action to get a little intro to the program, learn the basics of the tools, etc. In return, if we`d like to focus a later meeting on Photoshop digital painting I can scrounge up some examples and do an on-the-fly demonstration if anyone is interested.</p>

<p>If we can set up a digital painting "workshop" later in the summer, maybe early fall, that would be fantastic. I'd like to discuss more details in the next while here.</p>

<p>Yeah, if people are interested, I could TRY to put on a little demo... I'm not the best there is, but I know a few things. Maybe once I've got some more stuff uploaded so people know what I'm about, and we've thought about a date and time, we could start a fresh discussion and get some members opinions on the idea and what they would hope to get from it. (In the same breath, that's why I'm commenting on the board HERE too)</p>

<p>Sounds great... Don't worry about this being an "official" teaching session... The whole purpose of this group is simply to share knowledge.</p> <p>You know more than me, and that's reason enough for me to show up, haha</p>
