Tonights' meet was great!
Cold beer, AE, more than a few laughs, and new friends, make for a great meet in my mind.

Thanks again to Tom @ Digital Pictures for his time, patience, and beer:)
And thanks to Brian Michael for his demos!
Also, congrats to the winners of our sponsored prizes!

The next meet will be within the next 2 months, or even sooner, so watch out for that announcement and in the meantime, PLEASE comment below on anything you would like to see covered in our next meet!!!

<p>As a new member, I am excited to be a part of this group. Thank you all for hosting the meeting.</p> <p>A topic idea for the next meeting...or just an open discussion, I'd like to bring up the question that I had for Scott on facebook earlier. AFTER EFFECTS CRASHING!</p> <p>My After Effects keeps dying on me with this current project I'm on. I know I probably have too many layers set in 3D and my machine just can't keep up. Scott, thank you for your suggestions and the creativecow site.</p> <p>http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/924394</p> <p><br />This basically says to press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT while in AE. Go into your preferences/memory-cache settings. It will then reveal a "Secret" tab. Once in it, set "purge every 15 frames."</p> <p>So far, this seems to work for me and my project is running smoother. I had no idea there was such an easter egg option within this program.</p> <p>If anyone else knows of any shortcuts, or strategies to make After Effects run smoother when handling memory intensive graphics, please let me know and I will be forever grateful!</p> <p>THANKS AGAIN!</p> <p>-Betty</p>
