Title
Color Management resources from November meeting

Entry

Below this entry is the link to access the PDF from Clark Omholt's presentation on color management. I'd like to thank everyone who attended our November meeting, and special thanks go to Clark Omholt from Spectraflow and Jay Daniel from Black Cat Studio for giving us a clear and understandable view of managing color in Adobe software.

Jay's presentation is recorded on our Adobe Connect account and can be viewed at:

Hi Cindy! Thanks for the link to Clark Omholt's presentation. I really enjoyed yesterday's presentations. Color management is one of those things that are so important for both print and web workflow. Yet it is also one of those theories that are easier learned than done. Yesterday's presentations reinforced my knowledge. Yet, my printers have a mind of their own! :>)

I agree, the meeting was great! I was inspired to check out calibration hardware to see if anything was available for less that $500. I found Xrite ColorMunki for sale on Amazon for $294.95 (after a $50 rebate, in effect now). Here is the link:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00169N0BK/ref=asc_df_B00169N0BK974820?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=googlecom09c9-20&linkCode=asn&creative=380341&creativeASIN=B00169N0BK

This is what Chris Orwig of Lynda.com uses to calibrate all his equipment. I ordered one. I'll let you all know how it works.

You can choose FREE Super Saver Shipping at checkout and save some more. I ordered mine on Dec. 1st and it's scheduled to be delivered on Dec. 5th.
