(Flash) Gordon (King of the Impossible)

When, if ever, will I be able to deply my Flash apps in that sleak and sexy iPhone!? When? Now? Next week? Next month. Ever? Never? ... When!?

We've all been having some great discussions about the future of mobile devices and computing and AR and ambient information technologies and ubiquitous computing and multi-touch and... an' all that. Oh, sure. It's fun. One question among us Flash folk is an obvious one: When, if ever, will I be able to deply my Flash apps in that sleak and sexy iPhone!? When? Now? Next week? Next month. Ever? Never? ... When!?
The truth is nobody knows. (Except for maybe Steve. - What kind of rap name is 'Steve'?)
No. That's not the truth. (The truth is out there. You can't handle the truth.)
I know. And I know now. And now you know. Now. (Some of you might have known since January 13, if you're regular user of github.)
Yes. Now: http://www.tuaw.com/2010/01/13/flash-on-the-iphone-in-demo-form/

The best way to predict the future is to create it. And Tobias Schneider has done just that with his code base called Gordon. (Get it? Flash... Gordon. Ouch.) It's an open source Flash runtime written in pure JavaScrip. Nifty!
It doesn't work for all swf tags, though: http://wiki.github.com/tobeytailor/gordon/swf-tag-support-table
In closing, I would like to simply add: Flash, I love you but we only have 14 hours to save the Earth!
