Reminder of this Thursday's Meeting

Agenda

This will be the first meeting at our new location with our friends of the Pinellas Park Art Society at the Park Station - a really nice facility that's easy to find and has ample parking.

6:45-7pm will be a brief meet-and-greet for everyone.

At 7pm I'll kick things off with a talk and demonstration of blend modes in Photoshop. If you've never used these, your missing out on a very powerful feature. If you've only been using them on layers, you've just scratched the surface. (note, this is also applicable for members using Photoshop Elements).

Following that, Martin Reinhart will be demonstrating a technique for faking chrome finishes in Photoshop as a design element and special effect.

There'll be a break after that and then I'll come back to talk about blends in Illustrator and some really interesting and time saving ways of using them.

We'll finish out the night with giveaways which will include hundreds of dollars worth of prizes including books, a Lynda.com month membership, a designer flash drive, and a NAPP* training DVD. We'll also be giving out issues of Photoshop User magazine courtesy of NAPP.

<p>Not at all. It'll be demo style so if you have one and want to bring it to follow along with your own stuff, you can but nobody will be expected to.</p>
