Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

We are currently looking for an Flex Developer, Presentation Products on behalf of our client. They seek a self-starter with solid software design and programming skills that span all layers of stand-alone, end-user focused application development. This individual will work in a team that creates groundbreaking tools for personal genomic analysis and visualization. An ideal applicant will possess a thorough understanding of key concepts in genetics and human biology, although other highly talented individuals committed to developing intuitive, user-focused visualization applications will also be considered. Above all, applicants must be passionately interested in the fast-emerging utility of DNA sequence analysis in basic and clinical research.This is a fulltime opportunity.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

--Designing, developing, extending, and maintaining stand-alone, end-user focused applications that allow consumers and researchers to explore genomic data
--Collaborating with their scientists, product development team members, and other personnel to deliver high-value, high-quality products on-time and on-budget

Required Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate MUST have the following experience to be considered for this opportunity:

--User interface and data visualization design and development
--Solid experience in developing applications using Adobe ActionScript, Flex 3, Flare, AIR
--Working familiarity with SQLite
--Working familiarity with Windows and Macintosh
--Genetics/bioinformatics background is a BIG PLUS
--Customer-focused, detail-oriented, team-oriented, adaptable to priority changes
