Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION AND JOB DUTIES
This position is responsible for providing technology support to all sectors of the Newcomb College Institute (NCI). NCI consists of a full-time faculty and staff of 19 persons and approximately 35 desktop and laptop computers, housed in three buildings on the Tulane Uptown campus. The User Services Analyst III provides leadership in delivering information technology (IT) user support services and infrastructure resources. The User Services Analyst III achieves this by developing and implementing technology support strategies to effectively utilize emerging and appropriate technologies, tracking and reporting on technology problem trends, creating technology documentation and standards, and maintaining a media lab along with file sharing and Web servers. Applicant speciality in emerging technologies can range in application to include: library/archival management, research computing, distance learning, social media, Website development and multimedia production. The User Services Analyst III supervises student interns and workers.

Required Experience
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both non-technical end-users and technical staff
Strong presentation skills
4 years experience with desktop and server support in a mixed-platform environment including Macintosh, Windows or Unix
2 years experience developing Web-based applications using open standard web programming technologies including HTML, Java, PHP, XML or CSS
Experience with Web 2.0+ technologies - wikis, blogs, collaboratories
Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment
Demonstrated commitment to customer service
Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
