Title
Photojournalists, Keeping It Real Using Photoshop
Speakers
Director of Photography at the Columbia Daily Tribune, Gerik Parmele
Agenda
Adobe Photoshop can be used to do some really wild and fantastic things to images, taking them beyond the realm of reality some times. On the opposite end of the spectrum newspaper photographers rely on the most powerful image editing software available to do just minimal things. More often than not speed is of the essence so photojournalists use Photoshop to quickly and consistently enhance photos while keeping them 'real'. Columbia Daily Tribune Director of Photography Gerik Parmele will show how most photojournalists use Photoshop and share some of his methods. He'll also be looking to learn from you if you have any suggestions or tips.
