Job Description

Aperian Global is a global management consulting company headquartered in San Francisco, California with offices worldwide.  We provide training, consulting and a suite of web tools to help clients be effective on a global scale.  We have an opening on our technical team for someone who can support and grow our existing ColdFusion applications, as well as a new generation of Flash based eLearning applications.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working on the design, development and deployment of our web tools.
• Maintaining ColdFusion applications and developing new tools and functionality
• Assisting with prioritization and scheduling of maintenance and new project timelines.

Required Experience

Analysis Skills:

• Ability to understand business needs and lead the technical implementation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Good written/oral skills a must
• Ability to follow functional specifications
• Respond responsibly to deadlines

Technical skills:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years web development experience
  • Essential: ColdFusion MX 8/9, JavaScript and frameworks (jQuery, Prototype,..), CSS, XML, HTML.
  • Desired: Flex, ASP.NET / PHP, Ruby, Java
• Minimum of 3 years of SQL Server 2000-2005 or related experience, specifically:
  • Knowledge of TSQL
• Experience with deployment of applications from development/staging environments to production
• Knowledge setting up, configuring and maintaining servers (OS, web and application servers).
• Familiarity/experience with localization (foreign language adaptation)
• QA experience
