FlexCover: A code Coverage Tool For Flex - Jerry Ela
So you've written a lot of unit tests. But how much of your code is actually being tested. Maybe you have a lot of tests for the happy path where nothing goes wrong, but no tests for the edge cases where errors like to lurk.
FlexCover allows you to see not only what percentage of your code actually gets executed during your unit tests, but which paths through the code get executed and which do not. Knowing that some packages have 1% coverage, while others have 90% doesn't tell you which have enough test and which don't, but it certainly shows you where you should look first.
Bio: Jerry is the founder and president of the Capital District Flex Developers Network. He works as a Senior Developer for Troy Web Consulting specializing in Rich Internet Application Development, and has more than 20 years experience in information technology. He is a Certified Adobe Instructor for both Flex and Coldfusion.
