This January is the big Small-Image-Editor Showdown.  As I am sure you do as well, I often have to recommend an image editor to a client so they can do simple image manipulations for their websites.  And though PS CS5 is undoubtedly the Grand High Poobah of the image world, often this is simply overkill for clients.  

Over the years I have tried and suggested, among others, GIMP, Paint.net...both open source as well as Photoshop Elements for only $54-99 depending on sales and other offerings.  

Monday we will run them through their paces to see which program wins the cheap-but-most-useful-for-tech-illiterate-clients award.

Also a basic primer for Illustrator...hopefully a bit of tip trading amongst the gathered crew.

And a few real live Adobe goodies to give away...and a few new group bylaws to go over.  Bring a friend, ally or even rival.  The more the merrier.
