Albany Medical Center 43 New Scotland Ave. Albany, NY 12208 Note the new Meeting Location The meeting location is in Hyuck Auditorium which is on the first floor of the A Building. This area is best accessed via the front entrance "The Pillars" or via the Physician's Pavilion entrance on the south side of the hospital. The 60 New Scotland Ave garage (next to Hilton Garden Inn) is designated for patient and visitor parking. Additional ground-level patient/visitor parking is available in the A-bldg Physician's Pavilion (aka 'Blue') lot, located near the front entry to Albany Medical College and accessed from New Scotland as well. Street parking is also available, and there will be no meter fees at that hour.

Speakers

Cortlandt Winters is a Sr. Technologist for Troy Web Consulting. He received a BA in Film from Vassar College and worked for a while doing illustration before getting his MS in Computer Science from SUNY Albany. He has worked professionally for 15 years with a primary focus on designing and developing educational software, user interface components and programmatic graphics or data visualization.

Jerry Ela is the founder and president of the Capital District Flex Developers Network.  He works for Troy Web Consulting where his title is Chief Mad Scientist. He has more than 25 years experience in information technology.  He speciales in Rich Internet Application Development and data visualization. He is a Certified Adobe Instructor for both Flex and Coldfusion.

Don Drazan is the Chief of the Technical Assistance Section in the Division of Mineral Resources.  Mr. Drazan has oversight on the data management and reporting requirements for oil, gas and mining operations.  He obtained his Bachelors in Geology from the University of Buffalo.  The Division maintains two databases to track the oil and gas as well as the mining industry.  Public information is an important component of the Division's mission.  The well bore application was designed to complement staffs review of drilling applications and in the future will serve as an additional source of public information.
