Lukas Ruebbelke is a Senior Software Engineer at Shutterfly.com. He has been developing Flash and Flex applications for seven years and loves the intersection of design and functionality that the Flash platform offers. He has spent a significant amount of time learning other disciplines to complement his Flash endeavors such as C#, ColdFusion, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Lukas is a Certified Flash Developer, Sun Certified Java Programmer and an Enterprise Microsoft Certified Professional Developer.

Agenda

We will be covering how a Flex 4 component is typically structured including the Flex component lifecycle, view states, transitions, effects, events and custom skins.
