I have created a quiz and was wondering if when someone takes the quiz they can add there name to the quiz so I know who has taken the quizz, and when the result is sent by email the persons name is on the result, as emails will be from a generic address not the users address.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,

You could create a short answer question for their name as part of the quiz..

Hope that helps. Let me know how you go, I have found the email functionality is generally not the best for tracking results. If you could I suggest using an LMS or Adobe connect.

Check out my blog for a link to a widget which can record the users name as a variable and feeds directly into google docs spreadsheet more reliable than the email button function.

Thank you for your advice. Can you also advice how can I get the information below to record in the presentation so it will record the info in the widget. I noted you talk about variables, can you please help me out here.

Hi Neal,

I do apologise for my slack response, I only noticed the extra thread today. Yes you need to create variables to collect the data. What version of captivate are you using so I can give you the step by step instructions. Please feel free to email me jo@lasersedge.com.au if that is easier.
