Title
So Where Has the Time Gone?
Entry
March already. Sorry for the lack of activity on the site here. I've just submitted the initial version of an "end-use suite" (my name for it) for a client, consisting of a user guide, companion online help (created with RoboHelp - or as I like to call it, "King Bobo-Hep") and a handful of tutorial movies developed with Captivate. Along the way I did the manual graphics with Photoshop, used Fireworks for the online pix, and recorded and edited the audio with Audition. If I had done the manual in Framemaker, it would have been an all-Adobe tool production. But the client needs to make and track changes, so it was written in Word. But once the final version is approved, it gets locked down as a PDF with Acrobat.
So what are you up to?

posted 03/07/11 by DrLight | Report Abuse Title: New Stuff on Adobe Labs Entry: Two noteworthy things hit Adobe Labs tonight: 1) Wallaby! showing a tool that would let you convert Flash to HTML5, well, it’s live on Labs to play with. "Wallaby" is the codename for an experimental technology that converts the artwork and animation contained in Adobe® Flash® Professional (FLA) files into HTML. This allows you to reuse and extend the reach of your content to devices that do not support the Flash runtimes. Once these files are converted to HTML, you can edit them with an HTML editing tool, such as Adobe Dreamweaver®, or by hand if desired. You can view the output in one of the supported browsers or on an iOS device. To check it out go here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/wallaby/ 2) Also, Flash Player 10.3 beta is now on Labs. http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplatformruntimes/flashplayer10-3/ Have fun! |
