This month Jack Nicolai will be discussing creating animation through ActionScript. Jack has been a Flash developer since 2000. Hw was also a Macromedia Certified Instructor for many years.
Here is an outline of his presentation:

Animation Packages - Adobe's Tween Class - Greensock's TweenMax/TweenLite - Tweener - Additional packages worth checking out - Desuade Motion Package - Tweaser - Aeon - Actuate 3. Animation Basics and Beyond - Basic animation of Display Object properties - Animating Effects and Filters - Animating Flash 3D - Using physics 4. Practical Applications - Real World Examples - Combining timeline and code based animations - Animating UI elements 5. Resources - Books - Web resources and the like.
Jack is open to adding additional topics so if there is anything in particular you would like to know about ActionScript-based animation, contact either Jack or me at least a week before the meeting.
He will have a presentation deck along with example code available.
