Under general direction, designs, codes, installs, and maintains software programs. Identifies and evaluates tailoring and implementation of vendor-supplied software packages. Evaluates the performance of installed software by utilizing available aids to monitor trends, loads and growth patterns. Trains internal and external clients on the use of software programs. Provide technical assistance to other internal departments regarding the use and problem resolution of software programs. Analyzes specifications for application enhancements.

Required Experience

 

Maintain and enhance large complex legacy applications for the Financial Services industry.  Involves a great deal of SQL Server database development.

Job Related Experience: 
Requires 3 years programming/systems analysis.

Skills and Abilities: 

-Possess exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills
-Be comfortable working with extensive mature applications
-Be highly skilled with complex database views, functions and stored procedures
-Multi-task smoothly among multiple tasks and projects
-Work independently without losing focus
-Demonstrate initiative beyond the task requirements

Minimum Education: 
B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent
