Agenda

In recent years many have experienced the total failure of Axis (via ColdFusion) to properly interface with emerging webservice standards such as those offered by Microsoft's WCF, as well as many, many poorly written WSDL based services. Luckily, there's an easy way around this in ColdFusion - making direct http SOAP calls. I'll show you how to walk though a WSDL using a program called SOAP UI and how to construct your SOAP XML and SOAP requests for sending them via HTTP. We'll also look at some easy ways to parse through XML returned by these services and briefly explore reusable methods of accessing a multi-part API.

NOTE: We will be meeting in the Centreville Conference Room.
