Web Application Developer

Seeking long-term candidates. A 2-3 month contract period before hire. Strong on Front / Middle ware development, Java / Flex centric with requisite front-end skills (HTML, CSS, etc.)

We currently have an opening for a full-time Web Application Developer. The ideal candidate will be able to perform all phases of a project, from gathering requirements, to designing and developing both client-side applications and middle-ware web services. This candidate will have the ability to learn new technologies quickly, think logically, understand corporate business processes, create intuitive interfaces, work with minimal supervision, and maintain projects where there may be minimal documentation. Required skills include: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, Adobe Flex versions 3.0 thru 4.5 (aka, FlashBuilder), intuitively understands and can produce good UI/UX, Eclipse or MyEclipse IDE, Java (version 5.0+, Spring framework 3.0+), Web Services, SOAP, Object Relational Mapping. Knowledge of the following preferred, but not required: Adobe Create Suite (Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro), Java frameworks (Apache CXF, Apache POI, iText), XSL, Eclipselink, Aegis, familiar with OWASP and PCI standards, experience with DB2 and Oracle databases, server and container management (Tomcat 6+, JBOSS, IIS), iSeries (aka, AS/400), RPG ILE, CLP, DDS. This position requires relevant technical training and a minimum of 2 years experience developing software in an object-orientated environment.
