Nov Meeting :: Creating an Application from Scratch (Part II)

Jonathan Campos, Senior Architect at Miller and Associates

Jonathan Campos, user group manager of D-Flex.org, is an enthusiastic Flex user that has worked with the Adobe's Flex technology for a variety of small to mid-sized companies. Having worked on an array of different Flex projects Jonathan has had to learn Flex "in the field" as he created a diverse portfolio of Flex based programs for both the web and AIR applications.

Jonathan's experience lies in application planning and development, programming, and the integration of Flex with multiple different server side technologies.

Agenda

In our October meeting we decided on the application for our group to create to be a Netflix application, based on the newly released Netflix API. We will move into the next section of the application where we will start layout out some of the functions that our application will perform along possibly creating some handdrawn layouts for some parts of the application.

We will also spend sometime going into the Cairngorm Framework as our first framework to examine. In the following months we will also look at PureMVC and Mate. At the conclusion of our framework study we will program our application to one selected framework.Please RSVP for this meeting so I can plan numbers, this month we will also obe giving out a copy of Flex 3 to one lucky member that has RSVP'ed prior to the event.
