The JHSPH Office of Communications Team is Looking for a Front-End Developer
Entry posted on Apr 15 by brian.klaas

The JHSPH Office of Communications team is looking for a front-end developer! The JHU Jobs site lists the full position description (it's requsition #56438), but they are looking for a front-end developer who is great with HTML and CSS and is at least knowledgeable in JS. Experience with a content management system like Site Executive would be a nice plus. This is an entry-level position, so would be good for someone fresh out of college!

Update to Adobe Edge Reflow
Entry posted on Apr 02 by brian.klaas , tagged Design,Mobile

Adobe announced an update to Edge Reflow (showcased in our March meeting) today. Included in this update is support for fixed positioning (even in a flexible grid), improved text styling (so you can sytle spans), a better color picker (with support for luminance values), custom naming of elements on the page (instead of only being allowed to use Reflow's default names for your divs), and a ton of bug fixes. The new version is available for you to download and check out now!

If any of you are interested in participating in the prerelease program for the next version of ColdFusion (code name: Splendor), you should complete the survey that's linked below. While there is no guarantee that you'll get an invite to the program, Adobe has, in the past, invited a lot of people who expressed an interest in being part of the program, especially as it moves into beta stages:

Capital Area ColdFusion Social
Entry posted on Oct 16 by brian.klaas , tagged Event

The Capital Area ColdFusion User Group is having a ColdFusion 10 and CF Roadmap social on Tuesday, October 23. Though it's not as convenient as heading to the East Baltimore campus for a JHAUG meeting, this is a great opportunity to network with other CF developers in the DC metro area. They're also giving away a full CF10 license!
