The Visual Communication Department at Austin Community College is hiring for a full-time faculty position. Take a look and see if you're the right fit for our team.

ACC is currently accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in our Interactive Media Technology and Web & Interactive degree areas, where we offer classes in Processing, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, CMS, interface and user experience design.

We require a minimum of 3 years non-teaching work experience in the web and interactive or design industry, Bachelor’s degree in Art, Interactive Media, or Interactive Technology with evidence of training in digital media, or Associate’s degree in Visual Communication, commercial art, computer graphics, graphic design, Interactive Media, or Interactive Technology, or any SACS educational requirement to meet the courses taught.

• Must be knowledgeable about and capable of using Web technologies, Web applications, Content Management Systems, and Audio and Video for the Web.
• Must be knowledgeable about and capable of using HTML5, CSS 3, Javascript and Jquery.
• Must be knowledgeable about and capable of using online Course Delivery Systems such as Blackboard and Adobe Connect.

Desktop Publisher

Duties include:

• Format various documents
• Develop templates in Word (for print or HTML) or InDesign 
• Convert documents to existing templates
• Modify Acrobat documents to add bookmarks, links, etc.
