How to secure a wordpress site from scratch, get your basic security off the ground.
Wordpress sites are getting hacked everyday by malicious scripts and robots, these are designed to find basic security flaws in the wordpress platform.
Sergio Chavez is a local Vegas developer and has been building Wordpress sites for 3 years now. He learned the hardway by getting one of his biggest clients sites hacked.
Here are his words: "One day I got a call from one of my major clients that their wp site was being used for a phishing banking scam it took me many days and other developers to fix and secure the site, absolute nightmare.
After that I found basic protocols that I follow everytime I do a Wordpress site, to ensure that basic security is there so come join me on this talk to show you how to start a secure basic Wordpress site from the bottom up. There are no guarantees but I have not gotten a Wordpress site hacked since I have started these procedures"
