Rich Internet Applications Meetups > Flex Meetup Group
Entry posted on Apr 21 by Bob Strusa

Title: Rich Internet Applications Meetups > Flex Meetup Group
Entry:

From The Online Flex Meetup Group :

"As developers we tend to spend most of our time working on the functionality of the Flex / AIR applications, but not so much on the look or style. Let’s face it, the default Flex theme ‘Halo’ can be boring to look at every day. However, thankfully we have several options in how we can spruce up our applications with ease. We can use CSS or even develop our own Flex theme. In our April meeting, we’ll spend some time going over the various ways we can make Flex look sharp.

About the Presenter:

John Mason manages the Online Flex User Group. He is also the founder and co-manager of the Atlanta Flash/Flex User group and a long time board member of the Atlanta ColdFusion User Group. He has spoken to a number of user groups and conferences about Adobe based technologies. He actively blogs at http://www.codfusion.com"

Title: SQL Lite Database Access in Adobe AIR
Entry:

I came across this article by Christophe Coenraets on the Adobe AIR developer center while searching for something else today.  It describes several methods of integrating SQL Lite into your AIR application.  Pretty handy if you have little experience with any of these models.

A nice article from Adobe Open source about when to use [Bindable], why you might not want to use it, etc.  Definitely worth reading.
