Job Description:

Keywest Technology, an industry leading national digital signage software company located in Lenexa, KS, is seeking an experienced manager and creative designer to oversee projects for both internal and external customers.  The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with outstanding communication, organization, and flash programming skills, superb creative and strategic thinking, and a passion for quality.


The Graphic Solution Manager is responsible for creative and conceptual oversight of digital signage content projects including creating cost and time estimates and transparent project management.  We need a solid manager with initiative and a sense of urgency, who is skilled at managing department workflow.  You must be able to complete complex graphic design projects independently and translate concepts into visually lucid, appealing artwork.  Raw briefings must be polished using innovative graphic techniques and strong design skills.

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the graphic design department, daily workflow, and project planning. 
  • Create unique and innovative designs for external and internal clients.
  • Demonstrate creativity with visually pleasing designs; introduce new concepts and approaches.
  • Responsible for project specs & quotes/quality/delivery.
  • Manage multiple projects, long-term and short-term, with unique deliverables from start to finish.
  • Produce the highest quality work while meeting expectations and deadlines
  • Exercise judgment, leadership, and strategic thinking to balance priorities and communicate to stakeholders and take initiative to produce materials that ultimately grow revenue.
  • Review and critique web designs, sitemaps, and software user interfaces.

Required Experience:

Required Job Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or work equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Flash.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable with both Mac and Windows environments.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office, especially Power Point.
  • Experienced at managing multiple deliverables to meet client expectations and tight timelines.
  • Outstanding communicator who maintains a positive attitude in times of stress. A strong work ethic with attention to detail, the ability to follow direction, and propose solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with proficiency at planning and time management.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced, small company environment and can respond quickly to urgent requests.
  • Strong problem solver who understands outstanding customer service and meeting clients’ needs.
  • Proficiency in the use of templates, master pages and styles.
  • Knowledge of Media RSS feeds and XML desired.
  • Experience working with corporate branding specs a plus.
  • Previous experience in interactive content and wayfinding preferred.

 - Composition, layout, and spatial design
 - Animation, photography, and illustration
Effectively and intelligently iterates designs via pinpointing key data points from testing, walk-thrus, reviews, etc., consistently infusing Sprint identity standards, and applying industry best practices. 
Works closely with information architects, interaction designers, content designers, usability researchers, product managers, and stakeholders to hone in on design objectives, vet out design issues, evaluate design trade-offs, and ultimately creates the best visual design deliverable for the situation at hand.
Produces quality deliverables at every stage of the design lifecycle including: story boards, mock-ups (high/low), screen layouts, scenarios, visual concepts, specifications, and build file templates.
Presents and communicates design ideas, concepts, strategies, and final design decisions clearly and effectively across various organizations in any format required (PowerPoint, Demos/Walk-thrus, conference calls, etc.). Able to sell, support, explain, and simply present design concepts/rationale to various audience types from sophisticated design experts to non-designers.
Proactively identifies and proposes improvements, innovations, etc. to existing and/or upcoming designs. Follows thru by verifying feasibility, securing buy-in, and leading the initiative to implement.
