The Hawaii Flash User Group is looking for a Co-Manger that will help in getting speakers, settting up the meetings, and more. We are looking for a in person one, muct be in Honolulu, but also one for the on-line meetings.

Senior Level Flash Programmer

We are looking for a Senior Level Flash Programmer for a direct hire position in Honolulu, Hawaii. The job description is as follows. If you are interested, please email me your resume and contact info at zzaidi@bishopco.net. Referrals are welcome.

Responsibilities:

* Develop awesome multiplayer Flash-based game
* Keep the viral aspects in mind while developing social games
* Works well with others from around the world

Required Skills:

* Passion to develop and create high quality Flash games
* B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
* 3+ years of game development experience or 5+ years of software development experience
* Experienced in Flash Development: Flex, Actionscript, CPU/Memory optimization, Obfuscation, and Server/Client communication.
* Knowledge on online game development cycles and design is a plus!
* Experienced in Facebook game development a huge plus!
* Multi-lingual is a plus!
* Please include some examples of your work when applying!

New WebSite for HFUG

10 mminute and win free software

During the November Meeting on Re- Flex we will be having a contest in here somebody can have the chance to win an Adobe software suite up to $2,100 value!

All you have to do is talk for 10 minutes on anything Flash related at this HFUG Meeting

For Example:

1. what inspires you about the flash platform
2. Why do you use flash, why a certain IDE (Flash IDE, Flash Builder, FDT, etc)
3. What was the best flash book you have read & why
4. Show off some of your flash experiments.

Rules:

• You have to talk for 10 minutes on your topic of choice, must be on flash technogies.
• prepare your talk in advance, it could be a presentation, a tutorial, or coding exmples.
• You have to be a registered Hawaii Flash User Group Member to win.
• Must be present to win.

You could give a brief talk, or demonstrate some flash experients you are working on, such as design, development, animation, moblie, etc.

If it targets the flash player it counts.
