MEMBER SHOWCASE - Colin Bridges & SAPUG Optimization
RSVP Colin Bridges is going to speak about the technique of creating sprite sheets for 2d games using Photoshop and Flash ActionScript 3. He will discuss how you can use Photoshop at the pixel level to quickly design complex game environments. He'll also show how you can use ActionScript to "read" the finished picture and turn that visual information into the 1's and 0's that the computer can use to build a world. Colin Bridges is a freelance animator and motion graphic designer. After studying theater and film at Sarah Lawrence College, where he received his MFA, Colin worked for major networks like MTV, Showtime, Fox, and the CW. As a motion graphics designer and animator for cartoons like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dinosaur King, and Yu-Gi-Oh, his work has been seen by Saturday morning cereal-munchers across the country.

If you want to show the group your work on the big screen or highlight favorite features, tips or tricks; email Mike at mike@vinestudio.com. Details will be sent to you. The deadline for showcase presenters is Thursday, September 16. You can present as much or as little as you like.
RSVP Note:
The RSVP deadline (at noon the day before the event) allows us to get a headcount for room setup. If possible, please RSVP before the deadline. If you cannot RSVP before the deadline, you’re still welcome to attend the meeting.
