Address: Adobe Conference Center; 801 N 34th St Seattle, WA
Colin Bridges is going to speak about the technique of creating sprite sheets for 2d games using Photoshop and Flash ActionScript 3. He will discuss how you can use Photoshop at the pixel level to quickly design complex game environments. He'll also show how you can use ActionScript to "read" the finished picture and turn that visual information into the 1's and 0's that the computer can use to build a world.
Colin Bridges is a freelance animator and motion graphic designer. After studying theater and film at Sarah Lawrence College, where he received his MFA, Colin worked for major networks like MTV, Showtime, Fox, and the CW. As a motion graphics designer and animator for cartoons like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dinosaur King, and Yu-Gi-Oh, his work has been seen by Saturday morning cereal-munchers across the country.
We are looking for at least one more person who is willing to share a recent project or techniques with the group for 10 to 15 minutes. Email Liz right away if interested. Don't think twice, it will be fun!
Many thanks goes out to Mike Anitas for getting this group started!! Now it is your turn to help re-form the new group. Things to be discussed:
* leadership roles (Liz has volunteered to be lead organizer, but there is room for more volunteers).

* generate some great topic ideas
