Content: How do I Mimic tab group with second spry menu? We use Zoom search engine indexer to index our intranet sites. I read in a post that search engine indexers like Zoom cannot crawl pages with a spry tab group. To solve this problem, can I use a second spry menu, use background images to make it look like a tabbed group when it actually is a second menu. I tried this but my second menu is using the same spry CSS and JS as my main menu. Any ideas?
Content: I have cs5 and am confused about beginning a new site. I have already defined the site. I want to start with an easy site; using a template for the entire site; but I'm confused between: blank PAGE (using 2 col layout); vs. blank TEMPLATE (using 2 col layout) vs. page from template (which I think you can't use unless you do one of the above first 2 first.) if i want the whole site to be from a template, what's the diff. between creating a bunch of separate blank pages from the template or just a blank template? thanks!
Content: I wouldn't describe myself as either a power user or a web professional, but I am taking on more responsibilities with our webpage and have several tasks associated with that. To that end, I would like to get some feedback from some of you power users/professionals if you don't mind. Our website is antiquated - we are using MS FrontPage. We know we need to migrate to a newer software and have been told that Dreamweaver is the current standard. The people who will be responsible for maintaining the web do not have have any professional experience or education in web development. Our website currently consists of about 16 pages. I see Dreamweaver CS5, CS5.5, and CS5.5 v 11.0. What are the differences? Do either of these versions operate with Flash (which I was told we need to enable video on our website)? Being a Microsoft product, our FrontPage allows us to create and edit in Word. Does Dreamweaver allow that or does it require HTML knowledge? Will we be able to "cut and paste" our current information from Word documents into Dreamweaver? Has anyone migrated from FrontPage to Dreamweaver and can you share your experience with that? Our current website is: www.vopa.virginia.gov Thanks much - Lisa

Content: Hi all, Is Dreamweaver able to use forms or another means for users to select images based on particular individual requirements, combined with text that the users have input, to generate a page that the users can then print? I am trying to work out if Dreamweaver is the right application for me to buy and need to know if its capable of this before I invest. Regards, Helen
Content: I am a Mac user and am new to Dreamweaver and am trying to build a site for a class. The site won't ever be live. I am trying to organize my files and site using the Site Manager but can't access my files through it. I have all my files on my desktop in a folder named dreamweaverBasics. I created a new site in Dreamweaver and gave it the same name as my folder. When I look in the File Manager, I see my folder but none of the files that are in it show up. I can access all the files on my desktop through the Files panel but cannot access any of the files in my dreamweaverBasics folder. What am I doing wrong? I know I'm missing something.

Content: Hey all, and thanks for helping. I do not know how I got to this point, but I can not figure out what to do, despite days of searching and effort. I have a form that allows a user to upload 4 pictures and 5 text fields. The name of the image file is stored with the text in an sql database. What command do I use (or how do I do it in dreamweaver) to display each image after getting the filename from the database? thanks!! JT |
