CS6 upgrade path -- still waiting on the date 3
Entry posted on Jan 11 by Cyndi Reese

Just got this info from Adobe yesterday. Although we are still anticipating the announcement of CS6 the first half of 2012, it's good to know that there will be upgrade paths for CS5 users and also users of older versions of CS3 and CS4.

The release date is NOT announced yet, and the North Bay Adobe User Group will do its best to keep you informed and to have a special meeting sharing all of the new changes to CS6 when the time comes.

Cheers, Cyndi Reese

CS6 Upgrade Path for CS3/CS4 Users:

We’re very excited about the upcoming launch of Adobe’s Creative Suite 6 and Adobe Creative Cloud.  CS6 will be a major new release of our creative desktop tools, with huge improvements for every type of creative pro.  Adobe Creative Cloud will be our most comprehensive creative solution ever, giving members access to the all CS6 desktop software, plus additional services, new tools, Adobe Touch Apps and rich community features.  In addition, Creative Cloud members will receive continuous upgrades and updates to all products and services as part of their membership.

With these great new releases coming in the first half of 2012, we want to make sure our customers have plenty of time to discover which offering is best for them.  Therefore, we’re pleased to announce that we will offer special introductory upgrade pricing on Creative Suite 6 to our customers who own CS3 or CS4.  This offer will be available from the time CS6 is released until December 31, 2012. More details on this offer, as well as any introductory offers for existing customers to move to Creative Cloud membership, will be announced when CS6 and Creative Cloud are released later this year.

This is an OFFER -- NOT a promotion.

The "Introductory upgrade offer" will be available to shrink wrap boxed software, and licensing.  The offer will be applicable to all Routes to Market, regardless of IF Creative Cloud is offered.  This is specifically for CS6 perpetual upgrades.

CS6 Release date:

We anticipate questions around CS6 release date.  We are not giving a date at this time.

Entry posted on Nov 23 by Cyndi Reese

Make sure that you've signed up to receive email notification of Cyndi's NBAUG Blog entries. In the Resources pane on the right side of our new NBAUG website is a small button that you can click on to subscribe to the Blog. This is the main method for NBAUG management to communicate with everyone in our group. You might want to subscribe to the Event Calendar, also.

We are very excited about our November 30th presentation at 7pm in Newman Auditorium. Jay Daniel from Black Cat Studios will start out with a discussion of color theory, and HIS color expert Clark Olmholt from Spectraflow will talk on specifics of color management, including the use of profiles in Adobe software to get your monitor and printer to look the same.

And, as always, we will have fantastic raffle prizes.

*****

I'm going to send out one last email using the old NBAUG email system to remind them to sign up for our Blog. I apologize in advance if you get this information twice. Cheers -- Cyndi.
