3/25 NBAUG - Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
Creating Animated Titles and Graphics with Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro
Come see how these three programs can be used together to create great visual effects. SRJC instructor Mike Starkey will walk though the workflow of creating assets in Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro. If you've used Photoshop but not After Effects and Premiere Pro, this presentation will show you how to liven up your text and graphics in a whole new way.
We got a good recording of last night's meeting, and it's well worth the 1.5 hours if you want to understand what is going on out there. Go to http://experts.adobeconnect.com/p2h0gmhgtat/.
Donald Laird gave a very clear and informative presentation about the range of Social Media, and I think everyone in the audience learned a lot.
On Thursday (not Monday) February 28, at 7:00pm in the Student Activity Center in Bertolini Hall, we will have an NBAUG meeting in which we discuss social media.
Do the terms Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flicker, Tumbler, blog, wiki, RSS feed, MMORPG, Project Noah, and/or crowd sourcing make you want to crawl back into your cave? Or are you an active participant in the scene?
SRJC instructor Donald Laird is teaching a brand new 3-unit class on social media this semester, and, in preparing all the materials, he is fully primed and has agreed to lead a discussion on what is going on. Whether you have questions or answers, it should be a very informative evening.
I dont' think I ever posted the URL for the recording of the October meeting on Acrobat X. IF not, here it is:
The 12/17/12 meeting was a great success! The folks from Chromagraphics gave a very nice presentation, and all of us learned a lot. If you missed it and would like to view the recording - about an hour - here is the URL http://experts.adobeconnect.com/p5a1aqrx43v/.
The second semester will be upon us shortly, so stay tuned for more NBAUG meetings.
Please join us next Monday night for a presentation on the newly released Acrobat XI! The really good news is that Patti Sokol, an Adobe Solutions Consultant, is going to be our guest speaker. As she did last spring for InDesign, Patti will join us from afar in an Adobe Connect room, and will tell us everything we want to know about the newest version of Acrobat. This program just keep on getting better and better! The session will be broadcast in a Connect room, and I will post the URL as we get closer to the event.
Those who attend live will be eligible for nice door prizes from O'Reilly.
On October 1, Adobe introduced Acrobat XI. It just gets easier and better to use this amazing program to streamline your workflow. Join us Monday, October 29 from 7-9 in the Bertolini Student Activity Center, right next door to the Doyle Library. Carolyn Massell and Windsor Green will host a recorded preview of the new Acrobat XI features, presented by Adobe technical experts. Questions are asked and answered in the recording, and Carolyn and Windsor will be there to field further questions from the audience. There will be some nice door prizes from O'Reilly, so do join us.
Sorry, technical difficulties! All the swag will be available at the October meeting :-).
A great yearly event. For Mac desktop, laptop, iPhone, iPad and iPod users and more.

What a great time! Cyndi Reese gave her swan song, the last presentation of her teaching career, with a look at the profound changes in formatting text over the last 40 years and then a deep dive into InDesign CS6. The launch party pizza was devoured and CS6 swag was raffled off. One lucky raffle winner got the big jackpot, $2100 worth of Adobe software.
