This is our big ColdFusion 10 launch party! I know it's kind of late to celebrate ColdFusion 10's launch, but Adobe has provided this opportunity we can't pass it up. We will have dinner (probably pizza) courtesy of Adobe. Elishia Dvorak, Adobe's Solution ColdFusion Consultant and product Evangelist, will be our guest speaker (remotely). Please plan on attending, and spread the word to any CFers you know!

Let's meet at Old Chicago in the Boise Mall and discuss ColdFusion news, projects, and problems. Next month we will have a "normal" meeting where Scott will present on RESTFul web services in ColdFusion 10.

August CFUG meeting

Because of summer schedules we are meeting a week earlier than normal, and the meeting will be at Old Chicago in the Boise Mall. No speaker, no formalities, just casual dining with the group. Of course, we'll discuss ColdFusion and other fun tech topics. :)

Also, this month's meeting will be our software drawing meeting! The drawing is based on meeting attendance, so if you attend tonight you will have a chance to get the newest Adobe Creative Suite 6 (or ColdFusion 10 Standard, if you'd prefer.)

March Meeting - CFWebSocket

ColdFusion 10 beta is out, and the biggest buzz seems to be about cfwebsocket. With this tag you can create a real-time connection between the web browser and your server, and then send messages to the browser from your server. This is a new HTML5 technology, but it was possible before with Flash and other hacks/tricks. I will be demoing a simple game that uses websockets to manage the game between two player's web browsers.

Sorry guys! I thought I already had this meeting in the calendar! This is REALLY late notice (the meeting is tonight). I hope you can all make it. She presented at last year's NCDevCon. Her topic is Caching in ColdFusion.
