Reaching out to Coimbatore In our latest objective of reaching it out to Coimbatore and campaigning for the Adobe User Group, our first stop was at Krishna Arts and Science College, Coimbatore. The session was a sell - out with more than 120 participants. We started the campaign in a great way. Thanks to all the support and efforts of the UG members in making this start. It was good that the faculty and a couple of students from the college were so eager to make this happen in a short duration. We started off the session with an Introduction to the latest releases. We touched upon most of the topics from Ps, Ai, Dw,Id. The participants were full of energy and it was good to be among so many people who showed keen interest in getting to know more about the products and about the UG. looking forward to more such events. Thanks to Mr.Ramanathan, Faculty, SKASC and Co-ordinator for SKASC Mr.Vignesh.
ColdFusion Developer Week

Community Initiative
We started this again from where we left in 2009. We had then called this "Reaching out to Coimbatore" to reach out to the community creating awareness about Adobe technologies. Thanks to John for being a strong support to bring this program on track back to the institutions out here. We called this session "I build my own App", this was done in an Engineering College here in Coimbatore. The program was structured in a way so that it can be a curtain raiser to the students to make them aware that they can build applications on their own. We wanted to have this to be a teaser to bring out the best in them. The way things started out was good, we had a lot of queries. The session started with Rich-Internet-Applications the basics of Flash Builder and the Flex Framework. Shared with them the online avenues to get them equipped with more information about Flash Builder and seek the support of the community for gaining more knowledge. Getting more support from the other members in the community for this initiative. More to come! The idea is to reach out to the community and bring the best out of the lot. Lets Grow Together!

CS 5 Event
It was by - far one of the best events that people got to witness on the Adobe front from Coimbatore! We had a good turn out for the event. We started it all off with a bang by introducing CS5 to the people who hadnt made their hands dirty yet with CS5. We had demos on AI, PS, FC,AE,Pr. We thought the FC would be the wow factor !, it definitely went that way. People were amazed. when it came to video the ultra keying and the spot shoot and transferring it into AE and playing with Pr with that for 7 and half minutes and editing in front of the participants was something they hadnt witnessed yet. So that was pretty cool. O.S.Ravikumar did a decent job in making this a child's play. It was really great to have a message for the event from Ramesh Srinivasaraghavan, Head Evangelism Team for Flash Platform and we could bring in Harish on the video for the event! With loads of knowledge sharing we ensured that all of them went out with something to take away on the way back home. This was a event we'll have to benchmark for the forthcoming events! Looking up for more such events!
Reaching out to Coimbatore - 3
It was absolutely a great day for us @ Dr. GRD College of Science, where we had around 225 students from the Visual communication, Mass communication and from the Computer applications departments had gathered for getting information about adobe products! These guys already had basic knowledge t about the products. It was all the more interesting to talk to them about PS with a lot of demos and helping them with Tips and Tricks. Ravikumar our UG expert in VFX was amazing with the demos. Since we had developers too from the other platforms, we shared our knowledge on Fx and CF. There was lot of curiosity for Fx. Looking forward to having exclusive sessions on single products or just sharing about one particular aspect in a broad topic from forthcoming sessions. The community is growing strong! Looking for a big bang session on the 25th for the CS5 Event! Cheers MADHAN
ADOBE FLASH PLATFORM SUMMIT 2010
This was by far one of the biggest and one of its kind events that took place in bangalore on the 25th and 26th of August! Just wanted to share this with all of them in the community. It was absolutely amazing to meet Ben Forta, stand near him and take a picture! It was like a dream, there were Anne and Mark too! and the Adobe Flash Platform Evangelism team, really down to earth! Ben started off with the Visionary Key Note, and later on we had speakers lined up completely for the developer day on 25th and Design day on the 26th. It was like magic to most of us that a lot of avenues were put into exhibit. A very good place to network too! Just think of around 1000 people from the same wavelength and who speak and work in the same platform, this was really amazing. felt bad for people who couldnt make it to the event. Would share about every session in the AFPS 2010 here whenever I find time!
Reaching Out to Coimbatore - 2
In our campaign to reach the institutions and creating awareness about the Adobe User Group we had a brilliant outing today @ Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology. I was honoured to be the Chief Guest for Inaugurating the Association, Department of IT, SKCET. It was a great turn around again with 180 students. We spent more time on making them comfortable with the User Group, Product benefits and how they can add more value for their careers. Coldfusion 9 and Flex were the products that were discussed. There was keen interest among the students when we had made comparisons, (without writing SQL’s ???); One way of getting it to them was you dont need a test server ! ( they were all smiles). Hope to have more interest and more energy and enthusiasm into our UG. Assistant Professor Krishna Anand was instrumental in making this happen @ the campus of SKCET. Way to go guys! Thanks for the support.

With the great efforts of the Chennai Community this has been possible. Now for a lot of our new users we would be thinking what on earth is Flash camp ?? Why Flash Camp?? For Whom is the Flash Camp ?? For people who arent aware of what it is please check on this. http://www.indiflashcamp.com/about/
