I am a motion designer and product evangelist for Red Giant.
Through tutorials, live broadcasts, and social media, I help customers understand and effectively use Red Giant, Trapcode and Magic Bullet products. I engage with the community, answering questions, solving problems and receiving feedback on our products. As a designer, I design and animate commercials that promote our software and showcase their potential.
I started in this business by studying music (classical percussion) and audio engineering at the Fredonia School of Music in Fredonia, NY. After working in live sound engineering, audio post-production and recording studio engineering, I slowly started to drift over to video editing and motion graphics in 1996. Since then, I’ve worked in the great cities of Detroit, Nashville, Chicago, and Los Angeles as a freelance motion designer with clients such as, Blur Studio, Digital Kitchen, NBC, and more. I’ve authored numerous tutorials and training titles on motion design, After Effects Expressions, Trapcode Particular and Form, and Cinema 4D.
I am the owner of motion design portal graymachine.com. I currently live in Los Angeles with with my wife and two sons.
