Job Description:

These positions are located in the Seattle/Bothell area, and will consist of a 2 week onsite - 1 week remote rotation (unless someone wants to work full time onsite that is fine as well).  For those that are not local we are willing to relocate or pay for travel for the 2 weeks onsite.  For consideration, please email your resume over to me directly.  This is an excellent opportunity to join Universal Mind, Inc and join a large national project of ours. Responsibilities:

- Design and develop a large range of client functions on the Adobe AIR platform.

- Participate in design discussions and collaborate well with a small focused team.

- Quickly ramp up on existing client and server functions.

- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and promote adherence to modern coding standards and practices.


Required Experience:

- Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

- At least four years experience building client applications.

- Solid understanding of user experience and interaction design.

- Experience in FLEX / Actionscript is a must.

- Some experience with relational databases and SQL concepts is a plus. Experience with SQL Lite is a definite plus.

- Experience with web services such as WCF or SOAP is desired. 

- Knowledge of basic web technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML, and javascript.

- Good written skills for documentation and code commenting.

Understanding how to create custom components in Flex, including List components.
Understanding how to style Flex applications using CSS, custom components, or extension of existing flex components.
Experience with at least one major ActionScript tween library; TweenMax, Tweener, etc. 
Design patterns, including MVC, Adapter, Facade, Strategy, etc.  Deep OOP understanding.
Experience with one or more ActionScript/Flex MVC frameworks: PureMVC, Cairngorm for example. 
Experience with at least one project using DHTML, JavaScript, and either PHP or ASP.NET (plus if asp.net and PHP)
Experience with Video in flash using progressive download.
SCM experience, Subversion preferred
