Exciting Times
Entry posted on May 21 by Matt Schulz , tagged Design,Interactive Experience,Mobile,Video

Every so often, Adobe does an about face and specializes in one particular facet of software.  With the release of CS6 you can see the vision is aligned to designers, HTML 5 and video.  It is an exciting time to get involved with the Adobe User Group as we explore some new software like MUSE, updates to Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and InDesign.  Believe it or not we have some of the world's best talent right in our own backyard, with James Fritz and Kevin Stohlmeyer.  James just started at Lynda.com and Kevin is a rising star at conferences around the country.  I look forward to a large crowd at our celebration event on Thursday.  If any of you want to get more involved, we would love to have more volunteers(usually low committment, great on resume and high rewards), please give me a shout out.

Social Media Accounts and Meeting Reminder 2
Entry posted on Nov 17 by Podnov , tagged Development,Event,Rich Internet Apps

Hey folks,

The group now has a Twitter account as well as a Facebook page that we'll be using in conjunction with the groups site in order to communicate with everyone.  If interested, please follow/like!

I'd also like to remind everyone about our meeting tonight at the American Family grounds at 6pm.  We've got a great speaker in Michael Labriola.  His presentation is on garbage collection in the Flash Player.  Additionally, he's the technical lead of the Spoon project so if you have any questions regarding the future of community-driven Flex, he'd certainly be a good person to ask.

Hope to see you tonight!

Evan

TIme to get rolling again
Entry posted on Nov 03 by Matt Schulz , tagged Rich Internet Apps,Mobile,Interactive Experience,Development

I am excited to get this group rolling again after a short hiatus.  We are kicking things off with a bang, with one of the premier developers in the country, Michael Labriola.  If you are a Flex/Flash Builder Developer and want to improve your knowledge or ask a question no one thougt could answer- please check out this meeting.  We have room for 300 + people, so please rsvp soon.  PS-- We are looking for volunteers again to help out with the group, it looks great on a resume and you get great insights on the most innovative company I have been associated with.  Please reach out to me with any questions that you have regarding the group, or future meetings.

Adobe CS 5.5 2
Entry posted on Apr 13 by Matt Schulz

Ok- who is excited about adobe cs5.5?  We will talk a little about it at our next meeting, but will have more info at the meeting in May.  Sorry I have been a little out of touch over the past few months, but I am getting back into the swing.  Anyone have any new projects they are working on using new Adobe technology?

Blackberry Playbook
Entry posted on Nov 24 by Matt Schulz , tagged Development,Mobile,Rich Internet Apps

I recently viewed a webinar from Adobe and Rim regarding the Blackberry playbook.  Being at a corporation this device has some interesting benefits, both from the security side and also the ability to add applications.  Just curious what our development community thought about developing for RIM, which is more corporate friendly?

HTML 5

Curious what the community thinks about HTML 5?  Are you using it?  Is it too early?   Are you excited that Flash will be on the Blackberry?  I know the iphone and droid devices are cool, but the majority of businesses are still using blackberry because of its security and mail features- if those devices can catch up to iPhone is some assemblance, it is a huge development market out there.   Not sure if you saw the latest post, but please RSVP for the Illustrator event if you are interested in attending.  This is designer oriented, but that doesn't mean that developers cannot get a lot out of HTML 5 and what you can do with illustrator in developing mobile apps.
