Reporting to the Director of Daily Operations, the Temporary Design Associate is responsible for providing outstanding service to our customers by providing design insight and creative talent to fulfill orders. The ideal candidate is an expert in Adobe's Creative Suite, extremely detail-oriented, and great with people.

Responsibilities

• Specific responsibilities include the following
• Creating customer proofs
• Creating and editing design files
• Creating print-ready files
• Fulfilling customer orders
• Corresponding with customers regarding their customization instructions
• Proof reading customer designs
• Editing (color correcting) photos for optimal print quality

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• At least 3+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro)
• Experience with typography and the principles of print design a plus
• Experience working with customers in a luxury retail environment a plus
• Ecommerce or other catalog-based experience a plus

-Provide leadership in the use of Flash technology and mentorship in educating the organization on the capabilities and constraints of Flash
-Participate in deciding the direction of Flash in our products and services

Qualifications:
-eCommerce experience highly desired
-Minimum 4 years of Flash/Flex development experience on major RIA
-Mastery of ActionScript 3.0 and object oriented programming
-Experience creating dynamic Flash applications that use XML and server side technologies; experience with XML and Flash,  including an understanding of XSD/DTD for validation
-Good understanding of Flash memory management and experience building applications that    manage large numbers of objects  efficiently
-Flash Remoting and Communication Server experience a plus
-Comprehensive understanding of web browsers and front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. JSP a plus
-Will need to work well with User Experience team (interaction and usability), Engineering team (server communication and  application integration), and Creative team (look and feel)
-Must have a portfolio or other way to demonstrate previous work for reference
-Experience and desire to mentor others in understanding Flash, appropriate use of Flash, and learning to program with Flash
-BS/MS in Computer Science desirable

My client needs a Flash Developer that has experience with Flash, Flex, media RSS feeds, plugins, building flash video players, etc. Their redesign is creating an experience similar to www.hulu.com. They have a few pending projects that need some immediate assistance and they haven’t been able to find the right person to do the work.

The project duration would be ongoing.  No definitive end.  Meaning, there will be development needed for their main site and from there, additional projects, updates and marketing efforts.  Figure 3-6 months or longer.
