UI Flex Developer

Job Duties include:

• Develops and implements UI designs for the company’s software product by building interfaces using HTML, CSS, JSP, ActionScript and XML
• Works closely and effectively with other members of the UI and Development teams to produce interfaces that satisfy the company’s business requirements
• Unit tests work and adheres to agreed-upon production requirements
• Adheres to version control processes and methodologies
• Follows the processes and procedures that govern UI’s day-to-day activities and long-term goals

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of overall software development experience, 1+ years in web development (or 6 months experience and a Masters degree)
• Experienced in Adobe Flex and ActionScript
• Should have good visual design skills and an understanding of using UI components.
• Experience customizing existing Flex components
• Understanding of XHTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript development skills and cross browser compatibility issues.
• Experienced in hand-coding and debugging HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Ability to strike a balance between quality of work and turn around time
• Ability and desire to work as a part of a cross-functional software development team
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science or similar discipline) from a four-year college or equivalent
• Experience with application servers including WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBoss preferred
• Familiarity with Subversion version control and FlexBuilder software preferred

Final cut pro editor/ promo segment producer

Seeking an experienced final cut pro editor to produce promotional
television spots. This will be an ongoing full time contract for a
producer working with an international broadcast organization based in
Washington D.C. Must have excellent production/editing skills. Ability
to work with clients, prepare scripts, and an ability to work on
projects with tight deadlines. Vendor MUST be professionally proficient
in Final Cut, After Effects and Photoshop to be considered. A demo reel will be requested
