Touchable Framework for Adobe AIR - Sneak Peak
Entry posted on Aug 04 by Christian Gehrke

I found this today and it looks pretty impressive.

"Let’s face it. The gesture API for Adobe AIR is mediocre at best. Here’s a look at something better, a framework that will allow you to create regions for custom gestures. Controlling where you want to pick up touch events. It will utilize multi-touch, gesture and accelerometer controls all in one package. Control your games and applications in a snap."

Thanks to Gilles Guillemin for the tip - http://www.flexstuff.co.uk - Twitter @gillesguillemin

Entry posted on May 27 by Mike B Baker , tagged Mobile,Interactive Experience,Development,Design

Check these videos on how Flash CS6 can be used to genegate HTML5 using the CreateJS framework. The Flash IDE is still the perfect tool for creating rich animations, with toolkit you can convert Flash animations to HTML5. There is a bit of work and optimisation required but the workflow is really simple.

Entry posted on Dec 06 by Mike B Baker , tagged Design,Development,Interactive Experience,Mobile,Rich Internet Apps

Have you tried the HTML5 authoring tools on Adobe Labe.

Everyhing is going in the HTML5 direction at the moment, it is worth looking at Muse http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/muse/ and Edge http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/edge/. Both have a bit furhter to go until they can be used to develop production ready apps but are great starts.

Lets hope HTML5 adopt more of the Flash capabilities.

ColdFusion Builder
Entry posted on Aug 25 by Mike B Baker

ColdFusion 9 and ColdFusion Builder were released to Adobe labs back in July. Having played around with ColdFusion Builder and being a bit reluctant to use yet another IDE I have to say that I am impressed with the features available especially debugging and the ability to add ColdFusion extensions to the IDE. In addition ColdFusion Builder integrates seamlessly with ColdFusion 9 server.

Ben Forta explains some of these features in this video here.

Try it yourselves and we can discuss at one of our upcoming meetings.
