Content: Is there any way to setup a meeting such that participants can enter the room without the host accepting every single request? If I have 100's of attendees, I don't want to approve entry for every single one.
Content: The latest release of the free Connect mobile client now supports two-way video in addition to two way audio! To find the app from your device just search on the marketplace/app store for 'Adobe Connect Mobile'. It works fine with DCO Connect as well.
Content: Anyone have any experience using microphone(s) in conference room(s) for DCO? We'd like to provide more of our users the opportunity to speak, not just the Host or Presenter. If you have experience with this, good or bad, I'd be glad to hear!
Content: If you have a suggestion for a topic to be covered in upcoming stakeholder meetings, submit it here in this discussion thread! Here's an example of the topics that will be covered in the 8DEC11 DCO stakeholder meeting:
Content: Since moving to our new multi-site architecture early last year, we have been plagued by a persistent 're-connect' issue where users would get disconnected from a DCO Connect room and then automatically re-connected into it. From a participant standpoint this was annoying at best and unusable at worst. From a host standpoint, it was very troublesome because they would have to re-initiate capabilities like broadcasing VoIP, video, and screen/app sharing. This issue also had other side effects such as inability to enter rooms ('hung connections') and content not fully loading. Recently DISA Computing Service Directorate network engineers diagnosed what they believed to be the issue - switch/firewall settings. Since this equipment sits between the DCO Connect servers and users, this may have been the culprit. The modifications were made this past weekend and early testing looks promising. We would love to hear back on your experiences, good or bad, so we can see if the issue is truly resolved.
Content: Can you reccomend a Webcam/Camera that would be more suited for a conference room? The Logitech USB webcams are great for single users however they don't pick up a whole conference room the way that I would like. I have been hesitant to get something for a room that big but with the upgraded quality of the video coming along with the new version of Adobe connect we will be using it more to connect and collaborate with our remote sites. Thanks.

Content: Here is a guide I created to help people log into a DCO meeting from a non government computer. It has since expanded from its original scope to include other topics such as the Adobe Connect Mobile app and accessing a DCO meeting from a smartphone or tablet. If you have any questions about the topics presented here, or have suggestions for me on how to improve this document, I would be more than happy to hear from you. My contact information is provided in the document.
