Job Description: RED Interactive Agency is looking for a passionate Front-End Web Developer to join the ranks of other like-minded pixel pushers. You’ll get a chance to push the envelope using the latest technologies and techniques within a project team of designers, developers, and strategists for industry leading clients.
Requirements
Great skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and cross browser implementations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience and knowledge about the cool stuff in HTML5 and CSS3, and how to gracefully degrade.
JavaScript framework experience, preferably jQuery. But you know your way around the DOM, AJAX, and JSON regardless.
Proficiency and familiarity with CSS/JavaScript frameworks and utilities such as HTML5 Boilerplate, jQuery, Modernizr, Firebug, JSLint, minification, and others.
Knowledge of optimizing CSS/JavaScript performance, by coding practices and tools.
Knowledge and/or use of SASS and preferably the Compass framework.
Experience in a version control system like SVN or Git.
Passion and follow through for their work.
Excited and curious about learning new technology, as well as the sharing of ideas.
Exceptional collaboration, listening, written, and verbal communication.
Able to own individual projects as well as the ability to work within a team.
Pluses
Portfolio, GitHub (or other open-source account), list of published works.
True specialization in any specific area of HTML5 (Canvas, WebGL, etc).
Responsive web design from mobile to HD.
Experience with Django.

By leveraging key partners in Cable TV, Hollywood, and advertising, we plan to build an end to end TV service delivered over the internet with unlimited on-demand content and targeted, addressable advertising with real-time analytics that are actually reliable and accurate. We will be building the next generation living room experience. THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for an expert ActionScript programmer to help lead the development of our thin UI layer for interactive TV viewing. We are developing an Adobe AIR application to run on Linux, but will also be building web based services and mobile services utilizing Adobe Flash. This position will focus on building well designed and thoughtful user interfaces for HD television. We will be implementing multimedia design theory, and porting to multiple platforms including iOS and Android. This is not just a website and it is not just another social app acting as a Band-Aid for linear television, it is a truly new platform being built from scratch.
Build a 10’ UI that will crush Apple TV, Netflix, Hulu, and your Cable Box.
Collaborate closely with product design team, sourcing requirements and inventing solutions.
Research, evaluate, test, deploy, and maintain software development tools and utilities for Adobe ActionScript and UI development.
Port your UI work to multiple devices through the Adobe AIR framework (PC, mac, set top boxes, mobile, tablets etc)
Develop supporting sites for marketing and business development.
Required Experience:
Expert at Adobe Flash and Adobe AIR development in ActionScript 3
Expert at Object Oriented Design and Task Driven Agile Development
Building efficient applications with strong garbage collection and QA methodologies.
Strong documentation skills
